It’s common knowledge that the Dubai law enforcement possesses some of the fastest supercars and hypercars globally. Their most recent inclusion is the Lamborghini Urus Performante, which was brought to them by the regional Lamborghini Dubai dealership towards the end of 2023, coinciding with the 60th Anniversary of the Sant’Agata factory. An interesting fact is that the vehicle carries a license plate displaying ’60’, symbolizing the momentous occasion.

During a special event at the Dubai Airshow 2023, Maj. Gen. Ahmed Mohammed bin Thani, the acting head of the Dubai Law Enforcement, was handed the keys to the Lamborghini Urus Performante by Paolo Sartori, the Regional Manager of Automobili Lamborghini in the Middle East and Africa. Sartori expressed his pleasure in continuing the partnership with the Dubai Law Enforcement and assured that the new Urus Performante would be used for a variety of public tasks to enhance the city’s safety and security, solidifying the brand’s significant presence in the UAE.

The enhanced Lamborghini Urus Performante is an improved variant of the original Urus. While the Urus S is a refresh mid-way through its lifecycle, the Urus Performante targets a distinct market segment. It comes with a twin-turbo V8 engine, akin to the engines in the Urus and Urus S. In the Performante version, the power produced amounts to a remarkable 666 CV, along with 850 Nm of torque at engine speeds between 2,300 and 4,500 rpm. Despite its weighty SUV structure, the Urus Performante can sprint from 0 to 100 km/h (around 60mph) in just 3.3 seconds and hits a maximum speed of 306 km/h (approximately 190 mph).

For integration into the Dubai Law Enforcement fleet, the Lamborghini Urus Performante underwent custom adaptations to meet the necessary operational standards. Despite its exceptional factory features, the Super SUV was refined to align with the demands of police service in Dubai.

Addressing the audience at the event, General Ahmed Mohammed bin Thani, the acting chief of the Dubai Law Enforcement, expressed gratitude for the partnership with Lamborghini Dubai. “The high-powered Super SUV was introduced to further bolster the Dubai Law Enforcement’s patrol resources. The new Lamborghini Urus Performante will assist the Dubai police in their dedication to efficiently cater to residents, ensure social stability and safety, and offer aid in popular tourist spots.
