Exclusive Jeep V8 Wrangler Available for $70,000—A Special Offer for Veterans and Active Military Only

Fox plans to auction one vehicle for the general public, with all proceeds benefiting the USO.

Considering current market conditions (a typical 2025 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 392 starts at $100,590), this pricing seems attractive. However, Jeep CEO Bob Broderdorf has made it clear, “…every single Jeep that we make has been repriced except for the Wrangler, which will be addressed in the 2026 model year shortly.” It’s safe to assume that the costs for V8 Wranglers will align closer to such pricing in the upcoming model year.

The promotional video for this model is a touch cheesy, yet I can’t deny the Commando looks impressively designed. It features tube doors, 37-inch tires, a streamlined front bumper, external reservoir shocks, and an appealing bimini top, all contributing to its rugged aesthetic. However, owners might face difficulty lifting the spare tire from its mount in the cargo area—the wheel and tire combo will weigh around 100 pounds (lift with your legs!).

The Commando isn’t classified as an official Jeep trim. It stands as a Fox Factory creation—Fox, known for suspension work, offers modification packages like this one, sold through dealerships. This partnership provides a distinctive vehicle that maintains warranty and dealer serviceability for those who appreciate aftermarket components but prefer not to get hands-on in building their setups. Fox Factory caters to various vehicles, ranging from UTVs to street trucks.

The Jeep Commando will be available through Jeep dealerships and comes with a three-year, 36,000-mile bumper-to-bumper warranty as well as a five-year, 60,000-mile powertrain warranty.

Expect to witness more collaborations like this in the near future. As manufacturers continue to look for cost-saving strategies, outsourcing limited-edition variants like this to aftermarket partners makes financial sense. Additionally, such arrangements help sidestep obstacles like corporate pollution regulations.
