The Chevrolet C8 Corvette Z06 managed an outstanding lap time of 2 minutes and 19.18 seconds at the Circuit of the Americas (COTA) in Austin, TX. The vehicle was piloted by the test driver David Donohue from Hennessey Venom F5.
The Z06 is driven by a centrally positioned 5.5-liter V8 engine featuring a flat-plane crankshaft, producing 670 horsepower at 8400 rpm and 460 lb-ft of torque at 6300 rpm. It comes with an 8-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox and an electronic limited-slip differential that channels power to the rear wheels.
