In the upcoming year 2025, the expansive Toyota Sequoia SUV is undergoing subtle modifications and a $1,000 increase in price for the latest model iteration.
The pricing commences at $64,120 for the fundamental SR5 level, encompassing the essential $1,945 delivery cost. All Sequoia variants persist in utilizing a hybrid propulsion system shared with the Toyota Tundra pickup, comprising a dual-turbocharged 3.5-liter V-6 engine and a 10-speed automatic gearbox, along with an electric unit embedded into the bell housing of the transmission. The complete power system yields 437 horsepower and 583 pound-feet of torque, rendering a peak towing capacity of 9,520 pounds.
Rear-wheel propulsion comes standard on the SR5 and Limited trims, with the latter starting at $70,520 inclusive of delivery charges. Four-wheel drive incurs an additional $3,000 fee (unchanged from the previous year) for these models, and is included as standard in the upper-tier variants. It should be noted that the Platinum edition no longer offers rear-wheel drive for the year 2025, with a starting price of $81,265 now including four-wheel drive as standard.
Toyota has introduced a fresh 1794 trim for the year 2025. Beginning at $82,080, this level is priced between the TRD Pro off-road model ($81,990) and the prestigious Capstone version ($85,610). Initially present only on the associated Tundra pickup, the 1794 moniker is derived from the establishment year of the Texan ranch that once occupied the area where the Toyota factory now stands that assembles the Tundra and Sequoia.
The Sequoia 1794 showcases interior adornments of American walnut, front seats enveloped in leather with heating and ventilation features styled uniquely, and 20-inch wheels. Additionally, it is equipped with second-row captain’s seats, a panoramic glass canopy, and the inclusive Tow Tech Package.
New to the lineup for 2025, and available on all trims, the Tow Tech Package incorporates functionalities designed to simplify the process of reversing this substantial three-row SUV with a trailer. A brand-new offering is the wireless trailer camera system, which links to the Sequoia’s integrated WiFi network to stream footage to the digital rearview mirror from a camera affixed to the trailer.
Standard amenities for the Platinum, 1794, and Capstone levels now encompass massaging seats. An exclusive addition to the TRD Pro model is the availability of an additional color option—Mudbath.
Produced in Texas, the 2025 Sequoia will hit the market for purchase this month.
