Kia has announced that the 2025 Telluride three-row SUV is priced at $37,585, which includes a destination fee of $1,395. This marks a modest increase of $230 from the 2024 Kia Telluride, primarily attributed to a higher destination fee and the addition of standard side airbags in the second row. Popular models see a more substantial price rise of at least $1,200.
Awarded The Car Connection’s Best Family Car To Buy, this attractive SUV is available in 10 trims but features only one engine choice: a 3.8-liter V-6 engine producing 291 hp and 262 lb-ft of torque. The power is delivered through an 8-speed automatic transmission to the front wheels, with all-wheel drive available for an additional $2,000—except on the X-Line or X-Pro models, where it comes as standard. These off-road-oriented X-Line and X-Pro models also include a center locking differential, capable of distributing up to 50% of the torque to the rear axle, alongside locking axles for off-road adventures at lower speeds. A self-leveling suspension is standard on these X-models.
Unlike its hybrid competitors, such as the 2024 Toyota Grand Highlander, the Telluride does not offer an electrified version. However, Kia does provide the all-electric EV9 three-row crossover SUV, which was awarded The Car Connection Best Car To Buy 2024. The fuel efficiency of the 2025 Telluride reaches up to 22 mpg combined with front-wheel drive or 20 mpg combined with all-wheel drive.
Key safety features come standard, including automatic emergency braking with detection for pedestrians and cyclists, blind-spot monitoring, adaptive cruise control, and active lane-keeping assistance. The base Telluride LX, priced at $37,585, accommodates up to eight passengers and includes 18-inch alloy wheels, a 12.3-inch touchscreen with smartphone connectivity, five USB ports, and a Wi-Fi hotspot, although it is available only with front-wheel drive.
The Telluride S, now at $40,485, sees a significant price increase of $1,250 compared to last year’s model. It features upgrades like 20-inch alloy wheels, a power-adjustable driver’s seat, heated front seats, a wireless phone charger, and second-row captain’s chairs for a total seating capacity of seven.
This year, the EX model is priced at $43,185 and introduces wood trim, a sunroof, leather-trimmed power front seats, power-folding side mirrors, and a hands-free tailgate.
With the EX model, customers can opt for the X-Line package, priced at an additional $2,295 over the EX AWD. This package primarily enhances the Telluride’s rugged appearance with unique 20-inch wheels, roof rails, and increased ground clearance from 8.0 inches to 8.4 inches. It includes updated bumpers to improve approach and departure angles, and features a refined traction control system with an integrated Tow mode for better grip and pulling power, with a towing capability of up to 5,000 pounds. The X-Line models also offer a new terracotta interior color and embossed front seats.
Furthering these features, the X-Pro variant adds $1,000, bringing its price to $48,480 on the EX trim. In addition to the X-Line enhancements, it comes equipped with 18-inch wheels featuring all-terrain tires and a 110-v inverter outlet in the cargo area for powering recreational equipment. The X-Pro also increases towing capacity to 5,500 pounds, a feature that was previously limited to the SX models.
The SX model is priced at $49,285, with the option to add the X-Line package for an additional $1,595.
At the top of the range, the SX-Prestige AWD carries a price of $52,485, or $53,780 with the X-Line, and $54,780 for the X-Pro. This premium trim comes fully equipped with Nappa leather, a head-up display, heated and ventilated second-row seating, a surround-view camera system, and a Harman Kardon audio system.
Manufactured in Georgia, the 2025 Telluride is now available for purchase.
