2023’s Porsche 911 Sport Classic is a homage to the iconic 911 Carrera RS 2.7 of the 1970s, featuring a unique ducktail spoiler. With only 1,250 units manufactured globally, it has become a highly coveted vehicle among driving enthusiasts.
Crafted from the foundation of the 911 Turbo S, the 911 Sport Classic showcases a wide-body design and is solely available with a seven-speed manual gearbox that propels the rear wheels. Its 3.7-liter twin-turbo flat-six engine produces 543 horsepower and 442 lb.-ft. of torque, equipped with tweaked engine mapping designed specifically for the manual transmission.
When derived from the 911 Turbo S, the Sport Classic boasts a full suite of high-performance features, including Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes (PCCB) with black calipers, Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control (PDCC), Rear Axle Steering, the Sport Chrono Package, and a specially adjusted Sport Exhaust system as standard.
Additionally, Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) Sport is integrated, lowering the ride height by 10 millimeters. Since it operates with rear-wheel drive, the front axle spring rates are marginally reduced compared to the all-wheel drive 911 Turbo S.
Featuring the Black/Classic Cognac two-tone (semi-aniline leather) and houndstooth fabric seats and door mirrors, the interior package exudes a distinctive style reminiscent of the 911 Sport Classic. The timeless design of the cockpit dials and the historic Porsche crest are also part of the package.
The back of the vehicle showcases broader rear fenders, enhancing the visual impact of the 911 Turbo. In contrast to the 911 Turbo, the 911 Sport Classic lacks air intakes on these panels, resulting in a large, sleek surface and a pristine appearance.
