Announced on Wednesday by Hyundai, the newly redesigned 2024 Hyundai Santa Fe three-row crossover SUV has a starting price of $35,345, which includes a $1,395 destination fee. The hybrid versions, which come better equipped, start at $38,345.

The price for the 2024 Hyundai Santa Fe shows a significant increase of $5,260 compared to its 2023 predecessor. For the hybrid model of the 2024 Santa Fe, there is a $2,600 hike from last year, particularly if equipped with available all-wheel drive, which was standard in the previous year. The positive aspect of these price adjustments is that the 2024 Santa Fe Hybrid is just $500 more than similar models like SEL, Limited, or Calligraphy gas models.

Regarding the new family hauler, it has been designed with three rows that can accommodate up to seven passengers due to its increased length and height. In terms of design, the boxy Santa Fe seems to draw inspiration not only from vehicles like the Ford Flex and Land Rover Range Rover but also resembles a Lego truck.

The gas models are powered by a 2.5-liter turbo-4 engine producing 277 horsepower and 311 lb-ft of torque, with an 8-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission sending power to the front or available all-wheel drive. The towing capacity of these models is 3,500 pounds.

On the other hand, the hybrid models are equipped with a 1.6-liter turbo-4 hybrid powertrain generating an estimated 232 horsepower and 271 lb-ft of torque. These hybrid models come with a 6-speed automatic transmission, available in front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive.

Both powertrains have been mostly retained from the fourth-generation Santa Fe. However, Hyundai has made tweaks to enhance cooling and reduce friction for improved efficiency to comply with more stringent particulate emissions regulations. While the EPA has not yet provided fuel economy certification for either model, the design changes and improvements under the car have helped to lower emissions, a result of Hyundai’s collaboration in electric vehicle development.

Each Santa Fe model comes equipped with standard features such as automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, active lane control, adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitors, and automatic high-beam headlights.

The base model, Santa Fe SE, comes with 18-inch alloy wheels, heated side mirrors, and LED headlights, taillights, and running lights. It also features a digital key, keyless start, a power tailgate, manual front seats with cloth upholstery, a satellite radio trial, and a 12.3-inch touchscreen with wireless connectivity for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Priced at $37,845, the Santa Fe SEL offers synthetic leather upholstery, a power driver seat, heated front seats, and a wireless smartphone charger.

The new off-road XRT grade, priced at $41,995, comes standard with all-wheel drive. It is fitted with 30-inch all-terrain tires on 18-inch black alloy wheels, with a ground clearance of 8.3 inches, which is 1.3 inches higher than other models. Additionally, it has a towing capacity of 4,500 pounds and features native navigation.

At $44,745, the Limited model boasts 20-inch wheels, a heated steering wheel, heated second-row captain’s chairs, cooled front seats, power front seats with leather upholstery, a surround-view camera system, a blind-spot camera system, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, and a Bose sound system.

For $47,895, the Calligraphy model rides on 21-inch wheels and includes power-folding captain’s chairs, nappa leather upholstery, a rearview camera mirror, a head-up display, a dual wireless smartphone charger, and a limited hands-free driving system.

2024 Hyundai Santa Fe Hybrid pricing

For the 2024 Hyundai Santa Fe SEL Hybrid, priced at $38,345, it offers equipment similar to the gas SEL model, with just a $500 difference in price. The same pricing strategy is applied to the $45,245 Limited model and the $48,395 Calligraphy model. The XRT grade does not come with the hybrid powertrain option.
