Gordon Murray Automotive (GMA) from the U.K. is set to introduce a more track-oriented “s” version as the final iteration of its T.33 supercar by mid-2025, as announced by Gordon Murray.

During an Autocar podcast released on December 25, Murray, who is the executive chairman of GMA’s parent company, stated, “Next summer we’ll launch the third and final variant, which will be the 33s, and that’s going to be tougher and more focused.”

Murray noted that while the T.33s will not be exclusively a track model like the T.50s Niki Lauda, it will still feature enhancements aimed at improving track capabilities, including increased downforce and revised suspension settings. There’s also potential for a power increase.

The T.33 is a V-12 sports car that GMA revealed in early 2022 as a successor to the T.50. It comes equipped with a 3.9-liter V-12 engine co-developed by GMA and Cosworth, delivering 608 hp in its standard configuration.

    GMA T.33 Spider

An open-top version, the T.33 Spider, made its debut in 2023. GMA plans to produce 100 units of each body style, and it is anticipated that the upcoming T.33s will be additional to preceding models. The T.50s Niki Lauda has a limited production run of 25 cars, separate from the 100 units allocated to the standard T.50.

Production for all T.33 variants will take place at GMA’s facility in Highams Park, U.K. The company has confirmed that all production slots for the T.33 and T.33 Spider have already been filled. T.33 manufacturing is expected to commence following the completion of the T.50 production, though a specific start date has not been announced.

Once all T.33 models, including the new T.33s, are finished, Murray mentioned in the Autocar podcast that GMA will introduce a completely “different type of car” featuring a new platform. While he did not disclose details regarding the engine for the next vehicle, the company has indicated its intention to continue offering V-12 engines as long as regulations permit. Furthermore, with the integration of hybrid technology, they foresee the V-12 engine continuing to be available well into the next decade.
