Notable changes for the G70 include a new Burleigh Blue Matte paint option. The sedan retains the 2.5-liter turbo-4 engine introduced in the 2024 model year, generating 300 hp and 311 lb-ft of torque. Alternatively, an optional 3.3-liter twin-turbo V-6 produces 365 hp and 376 lb-ft of torque. Both engines are paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission, with the choice of rear-wheel or all-wheel drive.
Genesis has streamlined the trim levels for 2025. The base G70 model is the rear-wheel drive 2.5T, starting at $43,250 with the mandatory $1,250 destination charge. The 6-cylinder G70 3.3T begins at $51,700 with rear-wheel drive, along with the destination charge. All-wheel drive can be added for an extra $2,100 with either engine.
Originally launched in 2019, the G70 saw a significant refresh in 2022, and a minor update in 2024 which included the replacement of the previous 2.0-liter turbo-4 engine with the current 2.5-liter engine, among other enhancements
2025 Genesis GV70
For 2025, the GV70 crossover introduces wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, along with Genesis Connected Services. The color selection has also been updated. Cardiff Green, Brunswick Green, and Makalu Gray have been removed as options for the gasoline GV70, while Makalu Gray has been taken off the list for the Electrified GV70. New options for gasoline models include Storr Green, Storr Green Matte, Matterhorn White Matte, and Makalu Gray Matte.
The gasoline GV70 model continues to offer a 2.5-liter turbo-4 engine with the same specifications as the G70, or a 3.5-liter twin-turbo V-6 that produces 375 hp and 391 lb-ft of torque. Both engines come standard with an 8-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive.
2025 Genesis Electrified GV70
The GV70 2.5T AWD with four cylinders starts at $47,050 in the base Standard trim level, along with a $1,350 destination charge. Additional trim levels include Select ($50,050), Advanced ($53,050), and Sport Prestige ($58,950). The GV70 3.5T offers a 6-cylinder option in Sport ($59,650), Sport Advanced ($66,050), and Sport Prestige ($69,250) configurations.
The Genesis Electrified GV70, introduced in 2023 (one year after the gasoline GV70), features a dual-motor all-wheel-drive powertrain delivering 429 hp and 516 lb-ft of torque (with a boost mode providing 483 hp temporarily) and a 77.4-kwh battery offering an EPA range of 236 miles. Available grades include Advanced and Prestige, priced at $68,300 and $75,100, respectively.
Despite being manufactured in Alabama and priced below the $80,000 SUV cap, the Electrified GV70 does not currently qualify for the federal EV tax credit.
