Automobili Lamborghini SpA still possesses surprises in their Huracán range. The final units of the Huracan STO, Huracan Tecnica, and the distinctive Huracan Sterrato are currently in production. While the status of the Huracan EVO is unclear, sightings of the EVO Spyder suggest ongoing advancements. Ordering any of these Lamborghini V10 models has been unavailable for a while, as production is fully booked. Or is it?
Lamborghini has recently secured the trademark for the Huracan STJ, hinting at a new addition to the lineup. The STJ could potentially represent Super Trofeo Jota, indicating a more track-focused variant of the Huracan STO. While some speculate that the Huracan STJ might be tailored exclusively for track use, it is more probable to appeal to a broader audience. If it were designated solely for the track, it could possibly bear the name SCV10, in line with the SCV12 Essenza derived from the Aventador.
The Huracan STJ is expected to be a limited-production version of the Huracan STO. It takes inspiration from the Super Trofeo EVO2 racecar. Although it is unlikely to feature a power increase beyond the 640 hp of the STO, there is a chance of a slight rise to approximately 650hp. The primary focus is on introducing striking aerodynamic elements to the Huracan STJ model.
Automobile manufacturers have a tradition of converting track-only cars into street-legal flagship models. For instance, Ferrari launched the SF90 XX Stradale, initially exclusive to non-street-legal XX models. In a similar vein, the new Huracan STJ is anticipated to follow suit, evolving into a street-legal version of the Super Trofeo EVO2 car, much like how the STO was the on-road version of the Huracan Super Trofeo.
This trend of street-legal track-oriented cars is evident in numerous models, indicating a trend towards merging the performance and excitement of track cars with the functionality of street-legal vehicles.
There is intrigue surrounding the trademark application for the Lamborghini Huracan STJ, among expectations of the successor’s launch, featuring a V8, possibly twin-turbo, and hybrid arrangement. Despite Huracan production being fully booked, the introduction of a ‘special’ model based on the current NA V10 platform raises concerns about potential delays with the successor.
Anticipation is building for the debut of the Lamborghini Huracan STJ, the Super Trofeo Jota edition, thought to be the ultimate version of this successful model. Enthusiasts are eager for official updates on this model, believed to be a favorite among collectors with the potential for a rapid sell-out once released.
