When discussing 6×6 conversions, numerous examples have already been witnessed. For instance, the Hennesey VelociRaptor or Mammoth, massive high-power 6×6 transformations based on renowned American-built pickup trucks, or the Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG 6×6. Nevertheless, the French modifier Danton Alexandre elevates this concept to extraordinary levels with his undertakings.
The initial Lamborghini-centric project he embarked on, known as the ‘Hot Rod Espada’, debuted a few years back. It involved transforming a Seventies Lamborghini Espada into a hot rod-inspired vehicle with a front-mounted exposed V12 engine, significantly wide rear wheels extending beyond the original Espada frame, and metallic seating inside. Despite its unconventional appearance, it presents an intriguing reinterpretation of a classic Seventies GT. Some view it as a misuse of a Lamborghini Espada, of which slightly more than 1,200 units were manufactured.
Regarding the 6×6 narrative, Danton has shared several conceptual images of his Lamborghini Urus initiative. His prior offbeat 6×6 projects include a redesigned Rolls Royce Phantom and a lowered mid-engined six-wheel Humvee.
The focus in these visuals is the Lamborghini Urus, an Italian Super SUV. The vehicle seems to have undergone modifications such as an adjustable air suspension setup and notably broadened bodywork. The front fenders boast remarkable width, facilitating additional air inlets, a downforce splitter, and fins to enhance stability during high-velocity pursuits.
Furthermore, the rear fenders have been elongated to accommodate exceedingly wide tires and a truck-bed-like structure with a roll-over cage and supplementary lights. The SUV further garnished with substantial side skirts, airflow grills, and ducts, alongside a redesigned rear bumper featuring vertical fins, vents, and significant hexagonal exhaust outlets.
