Initially unveiled in 2017, the Mercedes-AMG One is now prepared for production after a development period of 5 years. The extended timeline was necessary to adjust the F1-derived powertrain for street usage and ensure it complied with legal standards.
This vehicle contains a modified 1.6-liter turbocharged V6 engine sourced from the 2014-2016 Mercedes-AMG F1 vehicles, generating 574 horsepower at 9,000 rpm. Furthermore, it is equipped with four electric motors that contribute 360 kW (483 hp) to the overall power output. The AMG One is equipped with a plug-in hybrid mechanism, enabling it to cover a few kilometers solely on electric power, emitting zero emissions. It also incorporates a 7-speed single-clutch automated manual gearbox and weighs 1,695 kg due to its carbon-fiber construction.
Witness its performance as it speeds up the challenging Goodwood hillclimb track.
