The K4 supersedes the Forte and has a price tag that is $2,000 higher. The top GT-Line Turbo debuts last, priced just below $30,000. The Kia Soul hatchback comes with a price lower than that of the K4.
For its market launch in September, the 2025 Kia K4 compact sedan will be priced at $23,145, inclusive of a $1,155 destination fee, as disclosed by Kia on Tuesday. This reflects a $2,000 increase compared to the previous 2024 Kia Forte that the K4 replaces, matching the nomenclature of its base model offered in other markets. All listed prices include the destination fee.
With the discontinuation of the Kia Rio subcompact, the 2025 Kia K4 serves as the entry model for the brand’s shrinking sedan lineup. The most inexpensive Kia model currently available is the Kia Soul, priced at under $22,000.
Featuring a more contemporary design compared to the boxy Soul hatchback, the 2025 Kia K4 showcases a fastback silhouette with a sleek rear roof resembling that of a hatchback. This fourth-generation compact vehicle is longer, wider, and more spacious than its predecessor.
Equipped with a base 2.0-liter inline-4 engine delivering 147 hp and 132 lb-ft of torque, the LX, LXS, EX, and GT-Line trims carry on. Power is transmitted to the front wheels via a continuously variable transmission.
The GT-Line Turbo model is powered by a 1.6-liter turbo-4 engine generating 190 hp and 195 lb-ft of torque, a slight decrease from the previous 201 hp output. Front-wheel drive is facilitated by an 8-speed automatic transmission, and both the Turbo and GT-Line versions incorporate a multi-link independent suspension system in place of the torsion-beam rear axle for improved rear stability.
Every K4 model is equipped with a suite of driver-assist technologies, including adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, and active lane control. Owners are covered by a 5-year/60,000-mile warranty for added peace of mind.
The base 2025 Kia K4 LX features 16-inch steel wheels, LED lighting at the front and rear, cloth seats, a 12.3-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, along with power locks and windows.
Upgrading to the K4 LXS, priced at $24,145, introduces a 60:40-split folding rear seat, blind-spot monitors, and a safe-exit alert mechanism.
An additional $1,000 is required for the K4 EX, priced at $25,145, offering enhanced cloth seats, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, and a wireless smartphone charger.
The GT-Line model is available for $26,345 and features an enhanced suspension system, synthetic leather upholstery, and a more stylish exterior with 18-inch black alloy wheels. It also comes with a 10-way power-adjustable driver’s seat and heated front seats. Customers can opt for packages that include red interior accents, cooled front seats, or a sunroof.
At the top of the range, the GT-Line Turbo is priced at $29,245 and comes with a more powerful engine, upgraded interior features, and customizable option packages.
