2025 Genesis G80 Sedan Price Surged By $2,700, Now Starting At $58,350

The 2025 Genesis G80 midsize sedan makes its debut in the new year with a makeover and an increase in pricing, Genesis revealed on Friday. Fresh exterior elements complement a redesigned dashboard that houses a singular 27.0-inch OLED touchscreen featuring updated interfaces. The entry-level 2025 G80 2.5T AWD is priced at $58,350, which includes a $1,250 destination charge. This represents a $2,700 hike compared to the 2024 Genesis G80.

The standard 20-inch wheels showcase updated fan-blade patterns, the crest-shaped grille extends into newly designed headlights separated by two orange lights, and the lower grille appears more prominent, curving upward with larger air intakes.

The cabin mirrors the enhancements seen in the refreshed 2025 GV80 crossover SUV. The touchscreen segment of the curved display extends to the passenger side of the console, and beneath the touchscreen lies a haptic climate control interface. The round gear shifter and textured controller for the touchscreen remain nestled within the wood-paneled console.

Despite the price hike, the 2025 Genesis G80 remains a well-equipped luxury offering. Standard and unobtrusive safety elements comprise automatic emergency braking, blind-spot detection, active lane assistance, adaptive cruise control that can come to a complete stop, a safe exit monitor, automatic high-beam headlights, and limited hands-free highway driving.

Standard amenities encompass 12-way power-adjustable front seats, heated front and rear seating, a 12-speaker audio system, four USB-C ports, ambient lighting, rain-sensing wipers, synthetic leather trim, power-folding side mirrors, and it rolls on new 18-inch wheels. The infotainment system supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto but still necessitates a wired connection, which is somewhat disappointing for a car as refined as the G80 (this assessment is based on the same trim configuration as the 2025 GV80).

The powertrains remain unchanged, along with the standard all-wheel drive, an 8-speed automatic gearbox, and independent suspension. The 2025 G80 2.5T models feature a 2.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine producing 300 hp and 311 lb-ft of torque.

The $63,150 G80 2.5T Advanced upgrades to 19-inch wheels and incorporates tri-zone climate control, a panoramic sunroof, cooled front seats, wood accents, and Bang & Olufsen audio.

The 2.5T Sport Prestige is priced at $69,600 and includes adaptive damping, blind-spot cameras, automatic parking assist, 20-inch alloy wheels, a wireless smartphone charger, leather seating, massaging front seats, and a surround-view camera setup.

The 3.5T models are equipped with a robust 3.5-liter twin-turbo V-6 engine that generates 375 hp and 391 lb-ft of torque. The 3.5T Sport Advanced builds upon the 2.5T Advanced but is priced at $70,850, reflecting an increase of about $7,000 for the more powerful engine.

The $78,250 G80 3.5T Sport Prestige introduces carbon fiber trim, a Sport+ driving mode, rear-axle steering, an electronically limited-slip rear differential, larger brakes, a heads-up display, and a sport-tuned suspension.
