Other features of the Sportage include automatic emergency braking with pedestrian and cyclist detection, active lane control, parking sensors, and a rear-occupant alert. 2024 Kia Sportage Hybrid price and variants
The starting price of the base Kia Sportage Hybrid LX is only $1,200 higher than the gas-powered Sportage, which comes with a 187-hp 2.5-liter inline-4 engine. The gasoline model achieves fuel efficiency ratings of 25 mpg city, 33 highway, and 28 combined with front-wheel drive, while the Sportage Hybrid returns 42/44/43 mpg. Opting for all-wheel drive adds $1,800 to the price and reduces fuel efficiency to 38 mpg combined for the Hybrid, compared to 25 mpg combined for the gasoline-only Sportage.
The Hybrid variants are equipped with a 1.6-liter turbo-4 engine coupled with an electric motor and a 1.49-kwh lithium-ion battery pack, delivering a total output of 227 hp. Power delivery is managed by a 6-speed automatic transmission.
The Sportage Hybrid is also available in the EX variant priced at $33,315, which includes standard all-wheel drive. It adds features such as blind-spot monitors, larger 18-inch wheels, synthetic leather upholstery, a 10-way power driver’s seat, heated front seats, and a larger 12.3-inch touchscreen. Despite gaining a wireless smartphone charger, wireless connectivity is forfeited.
At the peak of the Sportage Hybrid lineup is the SX Prestige AWD, priced at $38,515. It comes with 19-inch wheels, premium synthetic leather seats, a power passenger seat, heated and cooled front seats, and a heated steering wheel.

The 2024 Kia Sportage plug-in hybrid is sold with all-wheel drive as standard and is available in the off-road focused X-Line and X-Line Prestige models. The Sportage PHEV X-Line starts at $40,815, while the fully-loaded X-Line Prestige is priced at $45,315.
The X-Line variants feature unique bumpers, gloss-black side mirrors, roof rails, window surrounds, and 19-inch wheels. The X-Line Prestige model includes the same enhancements as the SX Prestige.
The Sportage plug-in hybrid utilizes the same 1.6-liter turbo-4 engine as the Hybrid but incorporates a larger electric motor, resulting in a combined output of 261 hp and 258 lb-ft. The hybrid system is paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission with a clutch that disengages the engine for full electric power. With a 13.8-kwh battery pack, it offers an electric range of 34 miles. The efficiency can reach up to the equivalent of 84 mpg, while running solely on gasoline, the Sportage PHEV still achieves 35 mpg combined.
