The pricing for the 2024 Hyundai Elantra compact sedan remains steady overall, except for the Elantra Hybrid variant which witnesses a significant price hike of $1,735, inclusive of the $1,150 destination fee, compared to the 2023 Elantra.
The non-hybrid models see a slight uptick ranging from $185 for the base Elantra SE to $335 for the top-tier Elantra Limited. Each Elantra showcases a redesigned grille and elongated hood. The rear features new taillight designs, with the body characterized by sharp edges and bold angles that contribute to the Elantra’s distinctive appearance.
All trims come equipped with essential safety features like automatic emergency braking, active lane control, blind-spot monitors, automatic high-beam headlights, LED headlights, and running lights.
The SE, SEL, and Limited variants are powered by a 147-hp 2.0-liter inline-4 engine paired with a CVT transmission that directs power to the front wheels. The base SE model, priced at $22,775, features 15-inch wheels and an 8.0-inch touchscreen with wireless connectivity for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, alongside keyless entry.
Priced at $24,725, the SEL model upgrades to 16-inch wheels and enhances the interior with a 10.3-inch digital instrument cluster and touchscreen, albeit requiring corded smartphone app connectivity. Opting for the $1,750 Convenience package adds premium features such as 17-inch alloy wheels, adaptive cruise control, heated front seats, and a wireless smartphone charger, making it a recommended addition.
The higher-end Limited trim, priced at $28,215, includes the Convenience package amenities and adds a Bose 8-speaker sound system, synthetic leather upholstery, a power driver’s seat, a sunroof, a surround-view camera system, a blind-spot camera, and a hands-free driving system.
The 2024 Elantra N Line is priced at $29,615, introducing a sportier edge to the Elantra family. It features a 207-hp 1.6-liter turbo-4 engine coupled with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, rolling on 18-inch alloy wheels. The model offers improved handling with a multi-link rear suspension compared to the standard model’s torsion beam setup, showcasing a distinct design with chrome exhaust tips, a black grille and bumper, a black rear diffuser, and black window accents, along with most of the Limited trim’s features.
The Elantra N steps up the game with a robust 2.0-liter turbo-4 engine producing 276 hp and 289 lb-ft of torque, allowing for a swift 0-60 mph acceleration in just under five seconds. The model is offered with a 6-speed manual transmission or an optional 8-speed dual-clutch transmission for an additional $1,500. Automatic variants include a power boost feature for brief accelerations, enhancing performance by 10 hp for up to 20 seconds. It is expected to be priced around $35,000.
The 2024 Elantra Hybrid is priced $1,735 higher compared to the 2023 model, possibly owing to the delay of the Honda Civic Hybrid to the 2025 model year. Priced at $27,400, the base Elantra Blue receives styling enhancements that contribute to improved highway efficiency, with fuel economy ratings ticking up from 53 mpg city, 56 highway, 54 combined to 51/58/54 mpg. The Elantra Blue retains the same features as the SEL trim.
