Initially launched in 2022, the 2023 Aston Martin V12 Vantage Roadster incorporates various upgrades to its drivetrain and chassis similar to the coupe variant. It is equipped with a 5.2-liter twin-turbo V-12 sourced from the DBS Superleggera that produces 690 horsepower and 555 lb-ft of torque. Power is channeled to the rear wheels through an eight-speed automatic transaxle and a mechanical limited-slip differential. The widened track and enhanced suspension configuration contribute to better traction. The V12 Vantage Roadster boasts an impressive 0-60 acceleration time of 3.5 seconds and a top speed of 200 mph.
In terms of aerodynamics, the V12 Vantage Roadster shares several design modifications with its hardtop counterpart, such as updated bumpers and underbody contouring. Carbon fiber components are utilized for the bumper, hood, front fenders, and side sills, generating up to 476 pounds of downforce and ensuring sufficient cooling for the potent engine situated beneath the front clamshell.
Occupant seating within the cabin consists of Sports Plus Seats upholstered in premium semi-aniline leather, bearing the iconic Aston Martin ‘Wings’ insignia embroidered on the headrest. For added weight reduction, optional performance seats with exposed carbon fiber shells and manual 6-way adjustment are available. The interior is accentuated by hand-crafted carbon fiber panel trim finished in a variety of tinted lacquers, courtesy of Aston Martin’s Q personalization service, which also extends to customized exterior graphics and woven leather upholstery.
Production of the Aston Martin V12 Vantage coupes was limited to 333 units, while the V12 Vantage Roadster was even more exclusive, with only 249 examples manufactured, solidifying its status as a sought-after classic. This convertible sports car is distinguished by its robust V12 powertrain.
