The peak of performance from Mercedes-AMG, the Mercedes-AMG GT Black Series showcases the utmost level of technology transfer from motorsport to road-legal vehicles.
Drawing influence from the GT3 racecar, the AMG GT Black Series delivers a driving adventure reminiscent of intense racing while maintaining its street-legal status. It boasts enhancements like a revamped front fascia sporting larger intercooler openings compared to the standard AMG GT, an adaptable carbon-fiber front splitter, a two-stage rear wing featuring an electronically-controlled center flap, and an array of carbon-fiber elements including the hood, roof, rear liftgate, front canards, side-skirt extensions, and front fenders.
Propelling the vehicle is a flat-plane twin-turbocharged engine, the most commanding AMG V8 power unit produced thus far. It generates 720-hp at 7,200 rpm and an impressive 590 lb-ft of torque from 2,000 rpm to 6,000 rpm.
With a weight of approximately 3,600 lbs, the AMG GT Black Series is not a lightweight machine yet it is capable of accelerating from 0 to 60 mph in 3.1 seconds and from 0 to 125 mph in under 9 seconds, matching the Huracan Evo RWD in performance. It completes the quarter-mile run in 11 seconds at 139 mph and achieves a top speed of 202 mph.
